BEFORE YOU BEGIN

BEST CASE : In some cases you may just have one preset - Find your download location and double click on the XMP.file and it should automatically open and load into Lightroom (That’s it!)

Each preset is purposefully named the same as you see it here in the title, making it that much easier to locate once imported into to LR. (All $5 Singular Presets Sold are a ONE FILE DOWNLOAD AND SHOULD BE A SIMPLE DOUBLE-CLICK TO LOAD INTO LIGHTROOM)

IN OTHER CASES, HERE ARE SOME THINGS TO HELP

DETERMINE WHICH VERSION OF LIGHTROOM YOU ARE USING.

The version of Lightroom you have will determine the way you install your presets. Here are instructions on how to find out which version of Lightroom (or ACR) you are using.

If you are subscribed to the Creative Cloud Photography plan from Adobe (including Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic CC, & Photoshop) follow INSTALLATION METHOD #1
If you have any version of Lightroom prior to 7.5, follow INSTALLATION METHOD #2


HOW TO FIND OUT WHAT VERSION YOU ARE USING

LIGHTROOM MAC = You can find this by checking the version number that shows up when you click on the 'About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC' button (or Lightroom CC, if you are using that app).

PC = You’ll find it by selecting Help > About Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC. ACR (ADOBE CAMERA RAW FOR PHOTOSHOP) MAC = You can find this by checking the version number that shows up when you click on the 'About Plugins' button, and select ‘Camera Raw’. PC = Help > About Plug-ins > Camera Raw…

  • INSTALLATION METHOD #1

    HOW TO INSTALL PRESETS & PROFILES ON

    LIGHTROOM 7.5 OR NEWER

    With the Creative Cloud Photography plan from Adobe (including Lightroom CC, Lightroom Classic CC, & Photoshop) you can now easily import presets or profiles.

    1.) Navigate to the Develop module in the Lightroom app.

    2.) In the Presets panel, click the plus (+) icon at the upper-right corner and choose ‘Import Presets’ from the menu. PLEASE NOTE, you will only be able to click the plus (+) icon if you have images loaded in the Develop module.

    3.) In the import dialog that appears, select the downloaded ZIP file. Please note, this needs to be the original ZIP file. Some browsers will automatically uncompress this ZIP file, but it needs to be a ZIP to install correctly. If your browser has extracted the folder automatically from the zip (Safari on Mac does this), you may need to right-click and recompress it into a ZIP, or download the file with a different browser. That’s it! Once you have added the ZIP file, it will automatically extract the presets into the Develop module for you. They will also now be available in Photoshop ACR if you want to use your presets & profiles there.

  • INSTALLATION METHOD #2

    HOW TO INSTALL PRESETS IN ADOBE LIGHTROOM STANDALONE

    VERSIONS 2015, 6, 5, & 4 (PRE-7.3 VERSIONS OF LIGHTROOM)

    Please note: If you are using LR versions 7.0-7.3 (on the Adobe subscription plan), it is recommended that you do the FREE upgrade, and follow the installation method #1 listed above.

    1) Unzip the preset files.

    2) Locate the Develop Presets folder. You can easily find this In Lightroom. On a PC go to ‘Edit’ in the menu, then ‘Preferences’ (on a Mac select the ‘Lightroom’ menu, then ‘Preferences’). Select the 'Presets' tab then select 'Show Lightroom Presets Folder’.
    Select the ‘Lightroom’ folder then within there, the 'Develop Presets’ folder.

    3) Drag the Preset folder(s) which are found in the lrtemplate folder from your downloaded ZIP file into the 'Develop Preset' folder on you system. Keep them in their individual folders so they remain organized.

    4) Restart Lightroom.
